Early Life and Education

Young Jonn was born on February 16, 1995, in Ibadan, Oyo State, and grew up in a Christian family in Lagos. His musical journey was influenced by his father, who was a pastor. He began playing musical instruments at a young age, mastering the basics of production. He attended the University of Ibadan, where he studied Communication and Language Arts.

Music Career: From Producer to Artist

Young Jonn's production career began in 2009, but he rose to prominence after signing with the YBNL Nation record label, led by Olamide. As the label's go-to producer, he crafted a string of massive hits that defined an era of Nigerian music. His production discography includes:

In 2022, Young Jonn stunned the music world by stepping into the spotlight as a recording artist. He signed a deal with Chocolate City Music and released his debut single, "Dada." The track was an instant success, but it was the remix featuring Davido that turned it into a pan-African blockbuster.

He followed this up with another smash hit, "Xtra Cool," which soared to number one on the Nigerian music charts, proving that his transition was no fluke. He released his debut project, a five-track EP titled "Love Is Not Enough," which was later re-released as a deluxe version, "Love is Not Enough, Vol. 2," including his hit singles.
