Early Life and Discovery

Khaid was born on December 10, 2004, in the Ojo area of Lagos, Nigeria. Growing up, he developed a passion for music and began creating freestyle rap videos, which he posted on his social media accounts. During his teenage years, he worked as a car mechanic to make ends meet while still actively pursuing his musical ambitions.

His life took a dramatic turn when one of his freestyle videos caught the attention of Sydney Talker, a prominent Nigerian comedian and content creator. Impressed by Khaid's raw talent and potential, Sydney Talker reached out to him via Instagram. This discovery led to Khaid becoming the first artist signed to Sydney Talker's newly established record label, Neville Records.

Career Beginnings and Breakthrough

Khaid was officially introduced to the music world in January 2022 with the release of his debut single, "With You." The song, which blends Afrobeats with trap influences, was an instant success. It gained significant traction on streaming platforms and social media, establishing Khaid as one of the most exciting new artists to watch.

Following the success of his debut, he released his second single, "SKI," further showcasing his versatility and solidifying his presence in the industry.

EPs and Musical Style

In May 2022, Khaid released his debut extended play (EP) titled "DIVERSITY." The project was well-received and demonstrated his ability to navigate different genres, from the emotional notes of "Akpako" to the amapiano-infused "BLESSED."

His musical style is often described as "Afro-trap," a fusion that combines the melodies and rhythms of Afrobeats with the lyrical patterns and sonic elements of trap music. This unique blend has allowed him to stand out in a competitive industry.

In 2023, he released his sophomore EP, "Emotions." This project featured the hit single "Jolie," a love-themed track that became a massive commercial success, further expanding his fanbase. The EP also included the viral track "Anabella."
