Early Life and Education

Kizz Daniel was born in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. He is the second of five children born to the Anidugbe family. His late father was a lecturer. He attended Abeokuta Grammar School for his secondary education. In 2013, he earned a degree in Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology (Water Engineering) from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. He decided to pursue a career in music alongside his studies.

Music Career

Kizz Daniel's music career began to gain traction after he signed a record deal with G-Worldwide Entertainment in 2013. He rose to fame in 2014 with the release of his debut single, "Woju." The song became a massive hit and was followed by a popular remix featuring heavyweights Davido and Tiwa Savage.

He released his debut studio album, "New Era," on May 14, 2016. The album was a critical and commercial success, featuring hits like "Mama," "Laye," and "Good Time."

In 2018, he collaborated with Wizkid on the song "For You" and with Davido on the hit single "One Ticket," which quickly climbed the charts. His second studio album, "No Bad Songz," was released in November 2018 and debuted at number 55 on the US iTunes Chart, climbing to number 1 on the Billboard World Albums chart. He has since released other successful albums, including "King of Love" (2020) and "Maverick" (2023), as well as the popular EP "Barnabas" (2021).

One of his most significant international hits, "Buga," became a viral sensation and led to a performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Record Label and Name Change

In November 2017, Kizz Daniel announced his departure from G-Worldwide following a publicized contract dispute and court case. He subsequently founded his own record label, Fly Boy Inc. In May 2018, he officially changed his stage name from Kiss Daniel to Kizz Daniel. He has since signed artists like Philkeyz and Demmie Vee to his label. In a surprising move in 2023, Kizz Daniel announced that he had stepped down as the CEO of Flyboy Inc. and appointed his former label boss, Emperor Geezy, as the new CEO.

Personal Life

Kizz Daniel keeps his personal life relatively private. In May 2021, he welcomed a set of triplets, though he tragically lost one of his sons just four days after birth. He confirmed in March 2024 that he has been married since 2020 and later revealed his wife's identity as Mjay Anidugbe.
