Early Life and Background

MOGmusic was born on May 14, 1983, in Ghana. He grew up in a Christian home, and his passion for music was ignited at a young age. He began his musical journey by learning to play the keyboard in his local church, the Power Victory Chapel in Accra.

He pursued his higher education at the University of Ghana, Legon, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Information Studies. He furthered his studies at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where he earned a Master's degree in Luxury Management from the Faculty of Arts.

Career Beginnings and Ministry

MOGmusic's professional music career began to take shape during his time as a worship leader and music director in his church. For many years, he was a key figure in the praise and worship teams, where he honed his skills as a vocalist and a minister.

He gained wider recognition as a background vocalist for some of Ghana's top gospel artists, including Rev. Osei Kofi, Da Prince, and the legendary Ron Kenoly. This experience provided him with valuable industry knowledge and prepared him for his solo career.

He officially launched his solo career with the release of his debut album, "New Wine," in 2016. The album featured the popular track "Awesome God" and introduced his fresh, contemporary sound to the Ghanaian gospel scene.

Breakthrough and "Better Me" Album

MOGmusic's major breakthrough came with the release of his second studio album, "Better Me," in 2018. The album was a massive success and featured the phenomenal hit single, "Be Lifted." This powerful worship anthem became a staple in churches across Africa and beyond, catapulting MOGmusic to national and international prominence. The "Better Me" album also included other popular songs like "Elohim" and "Hallelujah."

Subsequent Work and International Collaborations

Following the huge success of "Better Me," MOGmusic has consistently released impactful music and has become known for his high-energy live worship recordings. His projects include:

He is the founder and lead pastor of the New Wine Church in Ghana. Through his annual live worship event, "New Wine Concert," he has created a major platform for worship and has featured many local and international artists.

As a two-time Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) "Male Vocalist of the Year," MOGmusic is regarded as one of the most influential and respected gospel artists of his generation, inspiring many with his music and ministry.
