Early Life and Education

Magixx was born on September 27, 1999. He grew up with a strong passion for music from a young age. He attended the University of Lagos, where he graduated with a degree in Mass Communication. During his time at the university, he actively pursued music, honing his skills and performing at various campus events, which helped him build a foundational following.

Career and Mavin Records

Magixx's career reached a pivotal moment when he was discovered and signed by Don Jazzy to Mavin Records, one of Africa's leading record labels. He was officially unveiled as a Mavin artist on September 23, 2021. The announcement was accompanied by the release of his self-titled debut EP, Magixx.

The five-track EP was a formal introduction to his sound, which blends Afrobeats with elements of pop and R&B. The project included the standout track "Love Don't Cost a Dime," which gained significant popularity. A re-released version of the song, "Love Don't Cost a Dime (Re-up)," featured fellow Mavin artist Ayra Starr and further boosted his profile.

Musical Style and Notable Releases

Magixx is recognized for his smooth vocals and versatile songwriting. His music often explores themes of love, romance, and life experiences.

In July 2022, he released his sophomore EP titled ATOM. The four-track project featured the hit single "All Over," which became a fan favorite and enjoyed substantial airplay.

One of his most successful collaborations came in 2022 on the Mavin all-star single "Overloading (OVERDOSE)," where he featured alongside artists like Crayon, Ayra Starr, Ladipoe, and Boy Spyce. The song was a massive commercial success. He also featured on the label's 2022 compilation album, Chapter X.

Magixx continues to develop his artistry, positioning himself as one of the promising new talents in the Nigerian music industry.
